Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy, and how can it help me? O.T.  helps you pursue your dreams, overcome obstacles, learn skills and strategies, and reach your goals.   Whether you would like to learn ways to regulate your nervous system or find the right tools to succeed in your daily tasks,  occupational therapy is a practical, holistic support to help you live life fully, comfortably, and joyfully.

Who do you work with?  I work with people from ages 12-112! My services are tailored for the specific needs of teens and adults.  You do not need to have any specific diagnosis to work with me, but people with diagnoses such as Chronic Illness, Chronic Fatigue, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, cPTSD or learning disabilities may specifically find these services to fit their needs.

Where do you work?  I see clients in-person in the Charleston area, and also work with clients virtually throughout South Carolina.

Occupational Therapy Process

First, we will do an initial free consultation over the phone or through a virtual meeting room so I can answer any questions you have.  From there, we will work together to complete an initial evaluation.  We'll work together to set goals based on the areas you would like to address, and then move forward with weekly or bi-weekly therapy.  We can meet virtually- with or without video, or over the phone.  If you live nearby we can meet at your home or even at your favorite coffee shop or local park, wherever you feel comfortable.

My services are individualized and strengths-based.  This means that we'll use all the things you're already great at to help you improve in the areas that are preventing you from living life the way you want to!   Keep on reading to see some of the things we can work on together.
